How does Rollover Work?
If you're enrolled in auto-rebill, your unused downloads will rollover to the next month. Up to one month's worth of downloads can be rolled over. Rolled over unused downloads are used first in the following month.
How long can I use the images that I download?
Both of our image licenses allow use in perpetuity, so there’s no limit on when you can use images you download
What can I do with the Standard Licence?
The Standard License allows unlimited digital reproductions and print runs of up to 500,000 copies. You may use images in video productions with no limit on audience, provided the production budget is under $10,000. For complete terms, visit our License Comparison page.
How can I use editorial content?
Images marked as "Editorial Use Only" are available for use in projects about newsworthy events or items of public interest. Editorial content can’t be used for any kind of commercial purpose, even if your organization is non-profit. For more details, visit our Support Center.
What benefits does the Enhanced Licence add?

Do I need to credit Shutterstock when I use images?
Not always, but there are certain uses in which you’ll need to include a credit. Every time you use an image in an editorial context, it should be credited. For the complete policy, including more examples, check out our Support Center.
How do image subscriptions work?
Subscriptions offer up to 750 image downloads per month - with no daily download limits. You’ll have access to our library, including vector graphics. At the end of each month, subscriptions are designed to renew, giving you uninterrupted access to our library of more than 90 million images. For more details, visit our Support Center.
