Camp Meridian completely relies on volunteer support, both at camp and behind the scenes. There are many ways that you can contribute to our mission and make a difference.
Camp Meridian completely relies on volunteer support, both at camp and behind the scenes. There are many ways that you can contribute to our mission and make a difference.
Our program volunteers are responsible for the safety, well-being and positive experience of our campers. We rely on the support of adult volunteers (minimum age 18) to assist in our programs. It is not a requirement, but many of the young adult volunteers also have congenital heart conditions. We believe they are great role models to show our campers how they can succeed in many different ways, just like these young adults.
Parents need peace of mind when they allow their children with a chronic heart condition out of their sight. Our medical volunteers provide that support for our families.
Our Co-Medical Directors provide guidance to our medical volunteers as well as overseeing the medical aspect of the camper applications as they arrive and to organize the needs of our campers.
If you are a licensed medical professional (MD, NP, or RN), please join us and be part of an energizing and empowering experience for kids. We also encourage EMT’s to volunteer.
Our liability and malpractice insurance covers our medical (and all other) volunteers.
Please contact us to apply for any volunteer position.
Please know that for some positions we have a waiting list. We encourage you to contact us if you are interested in supporting Camp Meridian and we can discuss positions available.
